Sounds of Summer

Pine Bluff is set to host a series of exciting events that will bring the community together in celebration. From lively festivals showcasing local art and culture to live music events featuring talented musicians, there will be no shortage of entertainment for residents and visitors alike. Foodies can also look forward to tasting a variety of delicious dishes from participating food trucks. With so much fun to be had. Pine Bluff is sure to be buzzing with excitement in the near future.

JUNETEENTH IN THE BLUFF: ARTS & CULTURAL FESTIVAL

Location: Delta Rhythm & Bayous Cultural District - 3rd & Main
Date: Friday, June 14
Time: 3:00 PM-10:00 PM

Kick-off the Juneteenth weekend at the inaugural Juneteenth in the Bluff in Pine Bluff's downtown Delta Rhythm & Bayous Cultural District. The festival is hosted by UAPB and sponsored by the Pine Bluff Advertising and Promotion Commission / Explore Pine Bluff.

The afternoon/evening festival will feature Blues Hall of Famer Latimore, along with Fuzzy Jeffries and the Kings of Memphis, Ms Zeno The Mojo Queen, and other local musicians, a farmers market and food tastings by the ACF Arkansas Delta Chefs Association, art activities for youth and art exhibits by the UAPB Art Department, vendor booths, and giveaways. Food trucks will also be present offering food and beverages for purchase.

This event is FREE and open to the public.

CATFISH FRIDAY BLUES & SOUL NIGHT

Catfish Friday Blues & Soul Night is a monthly live music series sponsored by the Pine Bluff Advertising and Promotion Commission / Explore Pine Bluff and is FREE to the public.

Started in 2019 by Pine Bluff native Jimmy "Catfish" Cunningham, this event aims to highlight the region's vibrant music scene. It also helps to underscore the music traditions of the Delta Rhythm & Bayous Highway. Musicians from the Arkansas and Mississippi Delta bring down-home blues and sizzling soul music to the crowd, who also feast on catfish dinners from an on-site food truck.

"BLUES BY BUDWEISER" CONCERT SERIES

Location: RJ's Grill & Bar, 123 S. Main Street

The Port City Blues Society will again host live blues concerts on the first Saturday of each month in downtown Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Each event will feature regional blues artists from throughout the Delta of Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana and beyond.

"Blues by Budweiser" is sponsored by MK Distributors and is held at RJ's Grill & Bar located at 128 S. Main Street. RJ's is a casual, non-smoking establishment featuring a full-service bar and food menu.

Port City Blues Society members are admitted free; $5 cover charge for non-members.
